The main partners in the strategy are:

City of Edinburgh Council
The City of Edinburgh Council is the local statutory authority with a range of responsibilities, including community planning, education, and local economic and social inclusion policy. As lead agent for the strategy it has a key role in influencing the development of national and European policy through demonstrating more effective approaches to meeting the needs of the local labour market.

Capital City Partnership
A coalition of statutory, voluntary and community agencies in Edinburgh working together to promote social inclusion and achieve social justice for local people. The Partnership focuses on jobs, health, housing, learning and community safety.

Careers Scotland
Careers Scotland is working to reduce economic inactivity among young people and is seeking to increase productivity by providing access to career planning support for people of all ages. Careers Scotland contributes to Joined Up For Jobs through its focus on employability support.

Jobcentre Plus
Jobcentre Plus, part of the Department for Work and Pensions, brings together employment and benefit services for people of working age, and is a key element in the Government's objectives to help people based on 'Work for those who can, support for those who cannot'.
