Joined Up For Jobs Pledge
Each organisation is responsible for the quality of its own services but we have also asked them to sign up to our Joined-up Pledge through which they commit to being part of this joined-up offer for the city.
Joined-up Pledge for Provider Organisations
We sign up to the following principles throughout our operations in Edinburgh:
Offer to Jobseekers
Level one: Provision of Information - Better Information for all
We will provide up-to-date information about our services and programmes on the Directory on the Joined Up For Jobs website using the format and definitions provided.
Level two: No wrong door/Access to all via each: signposting
We will provide the necessary level of advice and signposting. This will require all staff who are face-to-face with customers to have had Front-line Guidance Training; and training in the use of common referral tools.
Level three: Employability Development
We will offer anyone having difficulty getting work help to develop their employability in order to get ready for their chosen job or for work in general. This will include a combination of Advice, Assessment and an Action Plan which is agreed and implemented by the individual and the organisations.
Level four: Core offer for core target groups - Employability Case Management
When we say we offer employability case management this will include support on the whole pathway to work, from initial engagement, through employability support and jobsearch to finding the right job and support in sustaining it. If this involves the Action Plan being delivered by a number of organisations we offer to co-ordinate this and to keep track of the individual as they move between organisations.
Employer Offer
We will help deliver the Employer Offer and will have systems in place to enable us to advise employers about those services we do not provide ourselves. We are willing to share information about employer contacts using the processes designed for this, where this will help improve the services given to employers.
Greater Customer Reach
We are able and willing to refer on to specialist support agencies if necessary in order to ensure that individuals facing particular disadvantages receive the best service available in the city for their needs.
Management Information
We will report using the Monitoring and Evaluation Framework and its common data format and common definitions. Where possible and once it is available, we will report using Caselink, the Management Information System for the Jobs Strategy.
