Cairn Housing Association: Comms and Engagement Trainee

About the Role

Cairn Housing Association have received funding from Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) to employ a trainee for 25 hours per week for one year. The successful candidate will be paid the Living Wage.


The trainee will be actively involved in the day to day projects and services provided by the Business Improvement Team which includes work in tenant participation, marketing and communications and the contact centre.

The role will include general administration duties and the opportunity to develop projects and new skills in customer engagement and marketing and communications projects. The Trainee will also have the opportunity to work in the contact centre, providing excellent customer services over the phone and webchat.

The team at Cairn Hosing are leading a new Digital Services project this year and this is an exciting opportunity for a trainee to play a part in making it a success.

Working in a busy team with a variety of roles and responsibilities the role and responsibilities can be developed to reflect the specific interests of the successful candidate.

Am I Eligible?

Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) vacancies are only open to vulnerable unemployed 16 to 29 year olds, including carers, early service leavers (armed forces), care experienced, disabled, young people with convictions and young people on an Activity Agreement who are not on the Work Programme, Work Choice, Specialist Employment Support, Work First Scotland or Work Able Scotland.
