Changes to Foodbank Centres - Edinburgh Food Project

29 June 2018

Changes to Foodbank Centres

We are currently reviewing our foodbank centres, looking at the days and times of operation and how frequently they are being used. The centres which open in the mornings are significantly quieter than those that open in the afternoons, therefore we will be making changes to better facilitate client and local community need.

From the week commencing 28 May, our Broughton foodbank centre will change it's opening hours to:

Monday 13:30-15:30
Thursday 13:30-15:30
(The centre will no longer be open Wednesday 10:00-12:00)

It will continue to be based at Broughton St Mary's Parish Church, Bellevue Crescent, EH3 6NE.

The Grassmarket Foodbank Centre, as has happened in previous years, will move to Tollcross Central Hall (venue of our Tollcross foodbank centre) for the duration of the Edinburgh festival and fringe.
Final day in St Columba's - Tuesday 17 July (14:00-16:00)
First Day at Central Hall - Friday 20 July (14:00-16:00)
First Day back in St Columba's - Friday 31st Aug (14:00-16:00)

The days/hours the centre is open will not change (Tues/Fri 14:00-16:00).

Edinburgh Food Project Referral Agencies - The links below will take you to the updated versions of the foodbank maps, which are kept in your green foodbank folders. Could we ask these are printed off and kept in your folder for future use.
