Healthy Minds - Joined up for Integration Event

The aim of this event is to bring together employability providers from all localities to network with key projects and services who support people with mental health conditions in a variety of ways.

Make as many connections as you can to assist your own work within employability.

Networking Morning 9.30-12, Lunch 12-12.45, Training Afternoon 12.45- 3.45pm

Location:

Grassmarket Community Project, 86 Candlemaker Row, Edinburgh, EH1 2QA.

Running Order:

09:15-09:30 - Coffee

09:30-12:00 - Speed Networking, Speakers & Best Practice Sharing

12:00-12:45 - Lunch (provided)

Plus optional training

12:45-1545 - NHS - SafeTALK Training*

This workshop is fully funded by the Joined up for Integration Project and lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Please note there are a limited number of spaces available for this session so please do let us know as soon as possible if you are able to attend so we can inform the venue and catering.

*SafeTALK Training information

Aim: 

To enable participants to recognise persons with thoughts of suicide and to connect them to suicide intervention resources.

Learning outcomes:

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Increase their awareness that opportunities to help people with thoughts of suicide are sometimes missed, dismissed or avoided
  • Learn how to recognise when a person might be having thoughts of suicide
  • Increase their confidence in talking to a person with thoughts of suicide in a clear and helpful way
  • Learn how to provide practical help to persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to community resources. 

Participants: 

Anyone who comes into contact with people aged 15 and over.
