Joined up for Integration - LGBTI Training

About the training: 

The Equality Network (EN) is a strategic intermediary for the Scottish Government Equality Unit and aims to bring about equality and improve the human rights situation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people in Scotland.  

This training provides an opportunity for organisations and frontline workers to better understand the particular needs of LGBTI service users, increasing confidence and competence in addressing LGBTI issues and developing good practice to promote inclusive and positive citizenship. 

The training will cover: 

This training session will cover diversity, equality, awareness & sensitivity, hate crime, support and wellbeing. This is an interactive training session and we will discuss being LGBTI and how to be a good LGBTI ally. This session will also provide attendees with an introduction to terminology and LGBTI inclusive legislation in Scotland.

This training day is fully funded by the Joined up for Integration for the Edinburgh region only. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. 

Please note that as spaces are limited, only one person per organisation will be permitted to attend.
