The Prince's Trust Get Hired Event

'Get Hired' is an employability event that brings together young people who are looking for work with live entry level job vacancies.

The morning session will focus on mock interview practice during which young people will work in small groups with Prince's Trust staff and volunteers to build their confidence and practice their interview techniques. After lunch employers will 'pitch' their job opportunities ahead of a series of 10 minute interviews with young people.

There will be a wide range of part-time and full-time hospitality, customer service and retail job opportunities available. Further details for the event and how to make a referral are below.

Pre-Event Information Session
If a young person wishes to attend the Get Hired event they will also need to attend a pre-event information session the week before:

Get Hired
Date: Thursday 18th October
Venue: Standard Life Aberdeen, 6th Floor, 40 Princes Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2BY
Timings: 09:30 - Young people arrive
10:00 - Interview Workshop starts
12:30 - Lunch
13:00 - Employers pitch job opportunities
13:30 onwards - Employer interviews with young people

To be eligible to attend young people must be aged between 16-30 and currently unemployed / working less than 16 hours.
