Unique Volunteering Opportunity for young people

15 October 2018

At ProjectScotland, we have a really exciting and unique volunteering opportunity with the Children and Young People's Commissioner Scotland (CYPCS).  The CYPCS would like to offer young people the opportunity to develop their skills whilst also sharing their own knowledge and experience of being a young person in Scotland.

We are looking for young people aged 16-18 (or up to 21 if care experienced) who want to:

  • Develop skills for future employment
  • Work in a creative, busy and interesting environment, to promote and protect the human rights of children and young people.

Young Volunteers will get the chance to be involved in many aspects of the work of the Commissioner's Office including; digital media, communications, strategy, events/residential trip, budgeting and working directly with children and young people across Scotland.

Ongoing support from ProjectScotland and a mentor will be provided in addition to travel expenses and the option of undertaking an SQA accredited award too.

ProjectScotland is delighted to work in partnership with the Children and Young People's Commissioner Scotland to promote this unique opportunity. For enquiries and to apply, email Emma.Hanlon@projectscotland.co.uk.
