Organisation Description
Support@Work, funded since 2005 by Capital City Partnership and City of Edinburgh Council , provides crucial support for those entering, or returning to, the workplace.
We provide information, support & advice and training on issues which, if not dealt with correctly, can leave some workers feeling under-valued or even threatened. This includes contracts of employment, basic rights at work and the role of trade unions in the workplace.
Since 2005
Support@Work has delivered many sessions on a wide range of employment rights topics. We deliver to Edinburgh-based service users who are returning to work, and to staff from the city's frontline organisations involved in the employability field, including those in the Joined Up For Jobs network.
Our courses, tailored to meet the specific needs of client groups, are delivered by two members of staff: a project trainer and a local trade union official. We've delivered training to groups of up to 35, as well as one-to-one training.
