Organisation Description
Women Onto Work helps disadvantaged women in Edinburgh and the Lothians move closer to and secure sustainable employment.
Whether clients want help to find a job, need support with issues they feel are stopping them from getting work, or want to look at options for further education or training, we help our clients develop the skills, knowledge, confidence and experience they need to fulfil their goals.
We work with women who face multiple barriers to work, including women who are lone mums, are living with mental or physical health problems, have language or cultural barriers to work, or who lack qualifications or work experience.
Partnership working is vital to our success and we have a long history of successful working with specialist women’s support organisations, educational and training organisations, and other organisations that deliver employability services. We also work with a large number and wide variety of corporate, small to medium enterprises, and microbusinesses – across all sectors.
Our coaching service – which gives women access to a tailored package of supports and training - is client-led, modular, joined up, and built on 22 years of success.
