Organisation Description
Youthbuild assists young people who experience considerable disadvantage in accessing sustainable employment and comprehensive training in construction. Youthbuild Edinburgh works to tackle the underlying issues that prevent young people from entering and sustaining employment and capitalises on opportunities created by considerable local regeneration and investment.
Young builders must be aged between 16-19 years old and reside in Edinburgh City Council area.
Young builders must meet one or more of the eligibility criteria or have faced such barriers previously:
q Alcohol/Drug Issues
q Care Leaver
q Ex-Offender
q Literacy/Numeracy
q Lack of Qualifications
q Social Work Involvement
q Long-term unemployed (6 months)
q Health or Medical Problems
q Chaotic Family Background/Lack of Support
