Organisation Description
Edinburgh Cyrenians is a growing entrepreneurial charity that is committed to changing lives and working with others towards a better community in which homelessness has no part. Cyrenians work with some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged people; troubled youth, people with mental health and addiction problems, older people stuck in a homeless lifestyle, refugees & asylum seekers, women and their children escaping domestic violence: all sorts of vulnerable people who are existing on the margins of our society and at risk of further deterioration in their circumstances and well being. Some of our services prevent homelessness from happening; early interventions such as family mediation and access to private flats. Other services help people out of homelessness and with their underlying problems. We provide opportunity and special support to improve their housing, health and employability en route to fulfilling their potential as contributing members of society.
