Skills Summit for Edinburgh and the Lothians plans to 'raise our game'
A system which provides the skills needed for a prosperous and inclusive future for Edinburgh and the Lothians was the agreed objective at the Edinburgh and Lothians Skills Summit on 26 November 2010.
The event brought together local leaders from colleges, councils, Jobcentre Plus, Skills Development Scotland and other agencies, aiming to kick-start a joined-up approach to skills and training across the many organisations involved in the skills system locally.

Following on from the Edinburgh and Lothians Skills Summit, a meeting took place on 28th February 2011 on the subject of linking Curriculum for Excellence and the skills agenda. A note of this meeting is available in the Document Library.
