Specialist Advice Services
An Action Plan should help each individual to identify any circumstances or problems which may make it difficult for the individual to take up employment. Examples include the need for childcare; insecure housing or homelessness; a disability which may require adaptations at work; mental ill-health; debt; a serious criminal record; and addiction problems.
Many employability organisations and programmes can provide initial advice and support with these issues – this is recorded on the Directory. In addition the individual may need more detailed or in-depth assistance from organisations which specialise in them. Here are some links which can signpost to the organisations and resources in Edinburgh. This is not a definitive list but each of these websites can provide a route to relevant advice.
